"This is a pastel and pencil sketch from my Catterline sketchbook, drawn from the Watch House looking across the bay to South Row cottages at the top of the cliffs. To the right, a path, known locally as the brae, winds down to the beach. It was a bright sunny day with blue sky, blue sea and screaming sea birds".
