2008

Angela Mellor Gallery, St Mary's Street, Ely, Cambs.
A joint solo exhibition by Kevin Ryan and Ann-Marie Ryan of East Anglian landscape paintings. The gallery is a beautifully restored 17th century building opposite the cathedral in the historic centre of Ely. This building also contains the studio of ceramicist Angela Mellor, the gallery owner, and provides a perfect setting for the contemporary paintings and ceramics shown.

Grapevine Gallery
A joint-solo exhibition by Kevin Ryan and Ann-Marie Ryan based on their month’s residency in July 2006 at the former studio of celebrated Scottish artist, Joan Eardley, in Catterline, a tiny fishing village near Aberdeen. The studio, The Watch House, is perched on the clifftop at the edge of the village and is very little changed since Eardley’s time. The exhibition will feature work derived from this inspirational experience.

Cars International Launch
Kevin Ryan and Ann-Marie Ryan were both invited to stage an exhibition of 15 large-scale paintings to celebrate the launch of the prestigious Cars International Formula One Showrooms in Kensington. The evening was opened by Martin Brundle and attended by a host of Grand Prix and celebrity guests.

Residency at Joan Eardley’s former studio
Kevin Ryan and Ann-Marie Ryan have been awarded a residency of 4 weeks at The Watch House, the former studio of the celebrated Scottish artist, Joan Eardley, in Catterline near Aberdeen. They very much admire Eardley’s work and expect it to be a unique and rewarding experience to be able to work in such a special location.

Norfolk Open Studios
As part of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival Ann-Marie Ryan and Kevin Ryan will be opening their studios to the public from 10am to 5pm on three weekends in May.
This is part of one of the biggest visual arts events in the UK with artists right across the county participating and presents a rare opportunity to see these two artists in their working environment in the conservation stone village of Fring situated in the North Norfolk landscape which inspires much of their work. Refreshments will be served.

1 May to 30 May

'This Land', a
solo exhibition by Kevin Ryan at the palace, which has been the medieval home of the Bishops of Bath and Wells since 1206. The exhibition explores Man's influence on his surroundings and how his activities have changed the landscape through time.

Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery
Ann-Marie Ryan will be exhibiting two works selected from open submission by a panel from the Royal Academy of Arts, London chaired by Maurice Cockrill, Royal Academician.
This exhibition is part of the Landscape 200
series of exhibitions celebrating the Bicentenary of the Norwich School of Artists and is organised by Norfolk Museums & Archaeology Service and East Anglia Art Foundation.
